Question 1

Parking

Accepted Answer

Unlike most Spartan events, Spartan Hvar does not have a dedicated event parking area. Most participants travelling to Hvar arrive by catamaran from Split directly to Hvar Town. Please note that catamarans are passenger-only services and do not transport vehicles, so no parking is required for participants using this option. One of the main advantages of Hvar Town is that everything is within walking distance. The catamaran port, the event venue, hotels, restaurants and most accommodation options are all located close to each other, making it very easy to get around without a car. If you are travelling to the island by car, you will need to take a car ferry from Split to Stari Grad and then drive from Stari Grad to Hvar Town. There is no dedicated Spartan parking for participants arriving by car. However, there are several public paid parking areas in and around Hvar Town where you can leave your vehicle. Availability may vary, especially during busy periods, so we recommend allowing some additional time to find a parking space before heading to the event area. Participants staying in hotels or other accommodation with private parking can, of course, use the parking provided by their accommodation. Once you arrive in Hvar Town, a car is generally not necessary. The compact layout of the town allows participants to easily walk between the catamaran port, event venue, accommodation and other key locations throughout the event weekend. We recommend checking your travel and parking options in advance and, whenever possible, arriving in Hvar Town by catamaran or using the parking available at your accommodation.
